Overview

This course is designed to develop the participant’s understanding of drilling risk, well integrity, barrier management, management of change procedures, and the importance of bridging document procedures. This type of training is most effective as a company-specific course with the aim of enhancing the technical and soft skills of an existing team in order to allow the drill crew to be an effective contributor to the decision-making process during drilling, completion, and well intervention operations.

Designed For

This course has been designed for members of the drill crew including drillers, toolpushers, OIMs, supervisors, wellsite engineers, rig managers and office-based engineers.

It is delivered through presentation of a series of interactive lectures, videos and animations, case studies, and facilitated study group discussions extensively supported by technical reviews and presentations where required.

Certification

Successful completion of the course will result in an Aberdeen Drilling School certificate which is valid for life and does not need to be repeated or renewed.

There are no formal pre-requisites for this type of training; however, candidate suitability and assumed base knowledge will be discussed and agreed with the client in the early stages of course development.
