This 1-day Introduction to Plug & Abandonment (P&A) course aims to provide participants with an introduction to the principles, methodologies, practicalities and risks associated with well abandonment. As P&A becomes an increasingly critical component of an industry with a growing inventory of ageing wells, this course introduces the key principles, processes and environmental considerations associated with well abandonment.
This course has been designed for non-technical personnel with an interest in abandonment processes such as those working in HR & training, finance, supply chain, and marketing departments, and those indirectly involved in drilling, production, workover, facilities management and QHSE.
There are no formal pre-requisites for this type of training, however candidate suitability and assumed base knowledge will be discussed and agreed with the client in advance of the training.
Conducted over 1 day, the course is delivered through presentation of a series of interactive lectures supported by videos and animations, case studies, group exercises and discussions.
Successful completion of the course will result in an Aberdeen Drilling School certificate which is valid for life and does not need to be repeated or renewed.
This course is for group bookings only
