This 3-day Drillstring Failure Prevention course aims to give participants an understanding of the principles, methodologies, practicalities, and risks associated with drillstring tubulars. This includes the design, inspection, ordering and usage of tubulars and how the components interact with each other.
The course provides participants with a better understanding of the stresses that will act on tubulars during their lifecycle. Using this understanding, they will then learn to recognise which items are appropriate for the well and which are compatible with each other.
This course has been designed for technical and supervisory staff such as drilling engineers, toolpushers, and drilling supervisors and night drilling supervisors.
There are no formal pre-requisites for this type of training; however, candidate suitability and assumed base knowledge will be discussed and agreed with the client in the early stages of course development.
Conducted over 3 days, the course is delivered through presentation of a series of interactive lectures supported by videos and animations, case studies, group exercises, and discussions.
Successful completion of the course will result in an Aberdeen Drilling School certificate which is valid for 2 years.
This course is for group bookings only
