We have been developing and delivering national workforce development training programmes for our clients since 2005. In conjunction with government clients, national oil companies, and educational institutes, we have successfully delivered training to thousands of trainees worldwide in support of nationalisation initiatives. We have also worked in collaboration with a number of international drilling contractors to develop and deliver role-specific accelerated progression training for their rig personnel. This has resulted in the creation of a suite of advancement courses that cover soft skills and technical subjects with a ratio of 70% theory and 30% practical hands-on training using live equipment or a simulator. These role-specific courses vary in duration, usually delivered over 4-8 weeks, and are built to support the advancement of rig-site personnel within an organisation and enable the client to create a culture of operational best practice within their drilling teams.
On completion of initial training, candidates are deployed to the rig and will be mentored and coached by the appointed technical authority, such as Aberdeen Drilling School’s SMEs or a client-designated authority, to support and track candidates’ continuous development.
Our subject matter experts work closely with the client on each project to develop, implement, and manage bespoke packages; delivering expert consultancy, in-person training, online modules, mentoring, coaching, and assessments of personnel either onsite or remotely. Our holistic approach is designed to support our clients’ workforce planning and recruitment teams to effectively manage their internal talent pool of competent personnel on a regional or a global scale.
These programmes and associated assessments are not open to the public. These are company-specific packages and as such can be designed to suit the audience you choose. Candidate suitability and assumed base knowledge will be discussed and agreed in the early stages of development
Workforce Development packages are available on company request and will include consultancy and development time conducted either in-person or remotely, while the training elements are typically classroom and/or simulator-based, with certain modules available online or as virtual instructor-led training.
