About these courses

At Aberdeen Drilling School our focus is always to teach fundamental well engineering theory in an operationally relevant setting. All of our Well Engineering courses focus on developing a core understanding of well design concepts, before putting theoretical knowledge into practice with the use of a team-based well delivery project.

Using this methodology and working with clients on their own well designs, Aberdeen Drilling School has helped to set company standards for well design and well programme development in NOCs and IOCs globally.

Who are these courses for?

These courses are not open to the public. These courses are company-specific and designed for well engineers. Candidate suitability, assumed base knowledge and experience will be discussed and agreed with the client in the early stages of course development.

The courses are designed to consolidate and enhance the course participant’s understanding of well engineering principles in the context of well planning and design.

When and where are these courses delivered?

These courses are typically classroom-based and are conducted on request, for group bookings only. Certain modules may be available as virtual instructor-led training.
